Small Arabesque Bag in Purple

After making the last Arabesque Bag smaller, I decided to make another one using purple scrap strips. This bag has a lot of royal purple fabric, but for some weird reason purple tends to photograph blue! This is a great bag pattern for using up scraps. It is a free pattern by Sew Sweetness.
One side of the bag.

This is the other side of the bag.

Inside I added a slip pocket and a zippered pocket. This fabric is really royal purple! Photographs blue, weird!
This bag has sold!

  1. great use of your strips of batik fabric and I like how you broke it up with a horizontal strip. I love that its a free pattern. Of course all your additions make it even more user friendly. great job.

  2. Yep yep yep I do like this one too --- it looks like a lovely shade of purple on my computer - and how did I not notice before that you even add tiny little zipper pulls to the zippers *inside* as well - so sweet!
